2010 Italian & Cultural Language Summer Camp

For three weeks this summer, children ages 5 to 13 years old can immerse themselves in the wonders of Italian language and culture through a wide range of enjoyable and educational activities on the beautifully landscaped grounds of Casa Italia. 

Our morning program will focuson teaching your children the Italian language through songs, games, storytelling, movies and skits. During the afternoon sessions, children can choose among a variety of activities, including soccer, bocce, dancing, cooking, folk dancing, painting, drawing, etiquette, sewing, weaving, jewelry making, beading and embroidery. Italian will be spoken during most of the above activities. 

Full-day programs are offered Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Half-day programs are offered Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

The camp is run by fully certified and skilled Italian language instructors. Children receive a snack and a cold drink or ice cream every day. Lunches can be brought from home or purchased at camp. Tshirts and a last-day-at-camp cookout are included in the registration fee.  Transportation is available at the additional cost of $125 for the three weeks. Children will be picked up from the following location: the Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii, the Harlem and Irving Plaza and the Addison Park District. Requests will be considered for new potential pick up locations 

Full-day program is $595 Half-day program is $395.
